Terms & Conditions of Service

Dialed Bike Service Inc.
Last Updated: January 2026

At Dialed, we believe in transparency. The following outlines how we operate so there are no surprises — just properly serviced bikes and clear expectations.

Work Authorization

By leaving your bike with us, you authorize Dialed Bike Service Inc. to inspect, diagnose, disassemble, and service your bicycle as required.

Additional issues may be discovered during service. If that happens, we will contact you for approval before proceeding.

Diagnostic time is billable, even if repairs are declined after inspection.

Estimates

Estimates are based on visible condition at intake.

Because many components are sealed or internal, hidden wear or damage may only become visible once parts are disassembled. If additional work is required, we will contact you before proceeding.

No surprises without approval.

Suspension Service (Please Read)

Suspension systems are sealed, high-performance components operating under significant stress.

At intake, we can only assess external condition and basic function. Internal components — including bushings, air springs, dampers, shafts, seals, and cartridges — cannot be fully inspected until disassembly.

Once opened, we may discover:

• Internal wear
• Oil contamination
• Corrosion
• Damaged or worn internal parts

If additional parts or labour are required, we will contact you before proceeding.

This is common in suspension service — particularly when manufacturer service intervals have been exceeded.

Pre-Existing Damage & Seized Components

Coastal riding conditions are hard on bikes.

Corrosion, seized bottom brackets, stuck seatposts, and compromised hardware are common. Removal of seized components carries inherent risk.

We are not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing corrosion, improper prior installation, or structural weakness that becomes evident during service.

E-Bike Service Policy

E-bikes contain high-voltage lithium battery systems and manufacturer-specific electronics.

We are not responsible for:

• Battery degradation
• Firmware restrictions
• Third-party tuning chips
• Modified motor systems
• Use of non-OEM chargers

We reserve the right to refuse service if a battery or system appears unsafe.

Carbon Frame Inspection

Carbon components can fail unpredictably.

Visual inspection does not guarantee structural integrity. Dialed Bike Service Inc. is not liable for future structural failure of previously damaged carbon components.

Labour Warranty

We provide a 30-day workmanship warranty from the date of pickup.

This covers installation errors only.

It does not cover:

• Normal wear items (chains, brake pads, tires, bearings)
• Impacts or crashes
• Misuse
• Manufacturer defects

Warranty assessments must be completed in person.

Storage Policy

Bicycles must be picked up within 30 days of completion notice.

After 30 days, storage fees may apply. Unclaimed bicycles may be treated as abandoned property in accordance with British Columbia law.

We will make reasonable attempts to contact you before any action is taken.

Payment

Payment is due upon pickup.

No bicycle will be released without payment in full.
Deposits may be required for special order parts.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under British Columbia law, Dialed Bike Service Inc.’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the service performed.

We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages.
